NIMS on: Beta 1

1-5%: Incubation. No changes to host. Virus is easily eradicated but body does not gain immunity.

6 – 25%: Embryo. Parasite creates an attachment to the spinal cord of host, but is dormant as it grows taking some nutrients from the bod. Can be eradicated with some ease, but can leave body with scar tissue and other side effects.

26 – 40%: Adolescence. Parasite leaves dormant state and begins to exert control over the body. Symptoms include loss of time, odd and erratic behavior, strange appetites, muscle aches and fatigue. Parasite can be eradicated with significant damage to the spine. Immediate transfer of some vital organs and spinal structure to robotic replicas is required. Surgery has a 65% success rate and is rarely performed. At the end of this stage, most hosts are considered unviable and are scheduled for termination.

41 – 99 %: Maturity. Parasite increases symptoms above with addition of complete personality change and loss of attachment and human qualities. Patients become violent and uncontrollable as host is reaching age of complete maturation and can then replicate into new host. There has never been a successful removal of a parasite at this stage, though there have been attempts that have come close. The only option is complete transfer of consciousness to a cybertronic body, also known as Full Augmentation.

100%: Beta 1 has complete control of the body and brain functions and is able to reproduce.
