The Sabotage of the Grace City Eden Center

The Horsemen cult planted a sleeper cell of acolytes within the janitorial staff at the Grace City Eden Center. After 10 years as employees they were activated and began to slowly commit acts of espionage and disruption to the centers systems and property. Before these acts could be discovered by normal means, they had already progressed to ruining a batch of suspension fluid for the Eden 9 stasis collective which started parasitic growth in several of the volunteers. This, coupled with the danger in the surrounding zones, prompted the Eden leadership to move the viable members of the group to a new location.

On the day of this transfer, the Horsemen saw an opening to use some copied credentials to gain access to the stasis room and attempt to release infected individuals to infect people in the building. While this plot was discovered and a lock down protocol put into place, the damage had been done.

Weston Haught was in the building when the attack began. He was supervising the removal of the last group from Eden 9, which comprises our current group of travelers now. He was unable to stop the jettison of the divinity shards but was able to leave his personal AI, NIMS, behind to help the people he was forced to leave in transition. NIMS was formatted to only protect the awakening group and was left there without many of her own memories to influence her decisions or actions. She is completely devoted to the surviving Eden 9 volunteers.

There are rumors that there are other Horsemen operatives within the Eden employees and management.
