A space expedition is dispatched to a newly discovered cluster of planets named the Beta Luminar Pulse System. Little was known about this system and what rumors remained spoke of a lost civilization that had fallen so long ago that even the most studious of record keepers could find little mention of it that had any merit. The crew of the Whisperwill set out to decide for themselves and were met with a series of barren and lifeless planets. 

That is until one day they detected a signal coming from a sphere that looked to be as dead as the rest. They had named it Persaeaus and it was one of the last places they had yet to investigate. Once they began to receive the signal, they  knew they couldn’t pass it by. A preliminary scan discovered some hidden bodies of water with micro organic life so they decided to give it a closer examination. 

What they found on the surface surprised them. Not only did they find major signs of civilization in the form of crumbling cities and a road system, they also found evidence of a bustling economy with vast mining and manufacturing locations around the planet. While most of the architecture had crumbled to dust, they were able to gather enough information to realize that the planet had a similar species to humans and had even mentioned finding other planets and solar systems that they were trying to explore. 

The signal became even more important and they exhaustively searched the planet until they were able to find its source. Buried in a collapsed mine shaft they found a strange object, about the size of a small sedan and looked like a pyramid.  It was composed of shaped pieces that were fit together like a puzzle. It pulsed with life and after a few tests they realized that it was a strange symbiotic blend of living tissues and technological components that seemed to defy all logic. 

The group knew they needed to get it back to earth to study further. They were able to deconstruct the pyramid into 13 pieces and transport them back to earth. Making stops along the way they returned with the Persean Artifact in the winter of 2119. The company responsible for the expedition, The Scholar Coalition, began to study and dissect the artifact. 

What no one anticipated was that the artifact would begin to speak to the scientists and in turn would reveal to them a whole new world of technological advances that would be impossible to attempt to quantify. These discoveries included the current Stasis Technology, Augmentation and Life Extension Technology, Advanced AI, Magic (A force only found on earth in humans and other creatures created from it, harnessed to spread the use of it’s abilities to non magic wielding humanoids across the universe) and Blue Space(a dimension outside reality only accessible through specially linked portals and spells).
