Rules

1 .The StoryTeller (aka ST) will be your source for all information. They will provide the setting and events that occur, the outcome of any decisions, the winner of battles, all injuries and ailments that may befall your character and so much more. They will constantly be giving scenarios and data to drive the story and will be the final word on all events that occur within their episode. How you react to these circumstances is up to you, but be careful, anything you say or do can come back later to reward or punish you!

2. When addressing the StoryTeller, you must start your message with the prefix ST (Include double stars on each side of the ST to make the text bold). This will alert the StoryTeller to your statement and they will be able to answer your question or provide you with the information you seek. Ex: ST: How many enemies are in this room? Or ST: What are my options? or ST: Please describe the room again. Quick Tip: When in doubt, ask the ST!

3. All other chat in an episode’s channel should be in character at all times. If you must break character, please preface your statement with OOC or talk in a general channel like #rp talk

4. Decisions will be timed. Each time you are posed with a choice, you will have an agreed upon amount of time to make your choice from 5 minutes up to a couple of days. In order to keep the story moving the ST will post reminders if decisions need to be made quickly. We have a timer bot that will count down your available time for the event as a reminder. If you feel that you need more time, ask the ST and they can extend the time as they deem fit. If you fail to make a decision in the allotted time, you will be given a result from a random selection. The ST will be utilizing the bot for these choices and all results will be visible.

5. The bot will be used for dice rolls and timers as well as random player selection and tasks in those veins. (A full list of commands will be posted below before the first episode is posted)

6. You will only be able to use the bot for specified actions. Off limits actions are anything that does not help the story or assist you in a decision. A list of all available commands will be posted on this channel once they are compiled. You may use the bot for anything you wish in #rp talk or the nsfw channel (as there are nsfw options)

7. The ST reserves the right to silence a room and give information if necessary. Please pay attention to all messages from the ST. If they observe the need to provide more details or keep the chat on task, they will need compliance from all members to make it work.

8. Actions and Emotes: Since it will be important to differentiate between talking and things that the character are doing, please use the italic or single star function of discord. Enclose all emotes or actions with 1 * at each end of the action.
