Bot Usage and Command Guide

I am a giant noob when it comes to the math and intricacies of dice rolling. I intend to use them very simply. The bot that we have does a dice roll and I believe something akin to heads or tails. Most rolls will involve getting a positive or negative.

The positive would of course bring about a positive result for the situation and the negative it’s opposing counterpart. I will also use a number sided dice roll for things like combat using a very simple numerical value system.

Using a 6 sided die as an example it would be something like:

Roll 1 -2 Bad Outcome

Roll 3-4 Neutral or blocking action

Rol 5-6 a positive action.

Broken down further, if a bad outcome is rolled as a 1, it will be worse than if the bad roll was a 2. Same for neutral or blocking, 3 is worse than 4. Positive is the same with a 5 being less positive than a 6. This allows for a wider variety of possible outcomes being aided by the dice roll.

Other Bot Commands: I still need to familiarize myself with everything our bot can do, but it does things like takes a roll call. I will do a roll call at various times in the story to see who is able to respond quickly or not. This will help me to create fun events for people who might be able to participate while waiting for others to come around to join in.

There is a magic 8 ball command that you can use ooc to help you choose things at random for fun.

There is a random user selector that will help to randomly select players for certain events as I see fit. This will help to keep it somewhat random and exciting. You never know when you might randomly need to step up!

This bot has a poll function that may be used when a group decision needs to be tallied.
