Stasis

Stasis is a process in which the body is essentially paused using chemicals, nannites, and a process of brain reprogramming that allows the process to work. In order to be placed in complete stasis, the human mind is essentially downloaded or copied onto a piece of bio tech called a divinity shard that mimics human brain matter.

When a stasis participant is awakened from the process, their mind is reinstalled onto their mind as if no time had passed and they awaken with all memories and faculties in tact.

Our group of volunteers faced an interruption of their awakening that also saw the separation and permanent removal of their divinity shards from the Main Terminal located at the center where they were held. In order to get their memories back, they must travel to the Main Terminal and download their shard to regain that portion of their mind.
