Space Travel reaches new heights when a major discovery prompts an explosion of hyperspace and stasis technology. While it wasn’t perfect, the ability to travel deep into space was realized and the world immediately went to work on reaching out into the depths of the unknown.

Just after the turn of the century, a momentous day occurred. Known as Discovery Day, this was the day that contact with extraterrestrial life was initiated. Over the next generation the face of humanity and the universe was completely transformed. Even more new species of humanoid and alien life were found and communication with planets outside of the reach of our telescopes was established. 

With these new bonds came a unique world of trade and exploration with exchanges of new technology and discovery for all involved. While some civilizations were remedial and simple, others were advanced to places that helped the Technological Revolution take place. 

Relations weren’t always perfect. Space piracy, space skirmishes and tense relations peppered the landscape of this extraordinary new world. Despite this, the desire for peace amongst the planets was in the majority and thus the Council of Planetary Communication and Cooperation, or simply the Council, was created. Comprised of representatives from almost every known planet and species, the Council became the umbrella for which diplomacy, freedom, and unity would gather under.
